on TOP of the fridge 和 on the TOP of the fridge 含义辨析

onTOP of the fridge

onthe TOP of the fridge

Thebook is on TOP of the fridge

Thebook is on the TOP of the fridge

The book is on TOPof the fridge

The book is on theTOP of the fridge

而 on the TOP of 只有具体意义,没抽象意义。

*********************************************************************

at the TOP of, on the TOP of, on TOP of

1. at the TOP ofthe mountain

2. on the TOP ofthe mountain

3. on TOP of themountain(意思同2,省略 the,趋向简练,读着顺口)

1. at the TOPof

at the TOP of hiscareer(在事业的巅峰时期)

at the TOP of hisvoice

at the TOP of hisspeed(以速度的最高形式)

2.  on theTOP of  (无抽象意义)

① on TOP of sb

Allthis extra work isgetting on TOP of him.

② on TOP of the job

Do you think he'sreally on TOP of his job?

③ on TOP of something (此外):

He gets commissionon TOP of his salary.
