比较句中假如主语不是比较项可以省略吗

我在http://www.yygrammar.com/Article/201704/5120_4.html这篇文章中看到这两句话，请教老师这正不正确

1.I don't think this is better than was ordered.

2.The meat is better than we had last week.

以上两句都正确。两句的 “比较项” 都是 better（原级是good），参与比较的两个事物，第一句对应 this，由 than 充当，且做了从句的主语。第二句对应 the meat，由 than 充当，且做了从句的宾语。than 是比较的标志词，是绝对不可省略的。
